Dr. Egbuchunam has established herself as the chief executive officer and medical director of Regency Healing MedSpa LLC and Regency Healing Medical Clinic and Medical Weight Loss Center. In addition, she currently excels as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students at Texas Woman’s University and the University of Texas Arlington. Previously, Dr. Egbuchunam found success as a lead physician at Parkland Health and Hospital Systems between 2006 and 2010.
Born and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Egbuchunam knew that she wanted to be a doctor while coming of age. She carried her passion with her throughout her entire adolescence, and earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nigeria in 1990. Upon immigrating to the United States, Dr. Egbuchunam obtained a Master of Public Health in epidemiology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth in 2002.
Dr. Egbuchunam is proud to have maintained a 4.0 GPA while studying at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. During her residency at the Wichita Falls Family Practice Residency Program, she was bestowed with various awards, including recognition as the Most Dedicated Resident, Outstanding First Year Resident and Outstanding Third Year Resident. Additionally, Dr. Egbuchunam rose to become the chief resident from 2004 until 2005.
Well regarded for her scholarly output, Dr. Egbuchunam has authored a number of scholarly articles, which mostly center on health conditions among children. She maintains her memberships with the Texas Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the Ariix Wellness Council, the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Egbuchunam attributes her success to her drive in helping her patients take control of their health. Moreover, she has never put her patients through anything she has not tried herself.
